how can I convince a friend to get professional help?

I hope I picked the right forum for this. I have a very dear friend who has been struggling with depression and other stuff for a long time, but she's refusing to see a therapist. I really want to do something to help her, but I'm not a professional. the way her depression manifests remind me a lot about my own state of mental illness before I started therapy years ago, so it's also a bit triggering for me to talk to her and see her posts on social media when she's in a particularly dark state.
some forms of therapy are covered by her insurance, so "I can't afford it" is not an issue.
so I guess my question is - what can I do to make her understand that it's time to see a therapist, and actually do it? I researched therapists in her area and sent her a list months ago, but she never contacted any of them. I can't physically take her to see one because we don't live in the same city, so sadly, that's not an option.

@caffeineandchocolate I am so sorry to hear that!! 😔💔

How about contacting professionals? They might agree to contact her. I think usually people don't trust mental health professionals, but after talking to them they could gain the trust.

All the best dear!!
