@honestCamp3536 I'm sorry to say this, but if you haven't been with someone for two years and you can't stop thinking about them, it's not love... it's obsession. Obsession usually serves the purpose of filling a hole in our lives, or giving us a sense of purpose, but ultimately is harming because it keeps us from taking necessary steps to care for ourselves and live our own lives.
I've had my fair share of obsession, and the first step to recovery is to think about something else. Anything else. Listening to a podcast and focusing on the words, playing a video game, or even better learning a musical instrument, can all be steps to digging out of the hole of obsession. If you aren't able to do this on your own, talking to a therapist can be helpful.
Using an app like Mood Tools to help you apply cognitive behavior therapy (especially in becoming aware of congnitive distortions like generalizations - example "I'll never be happy without her") can also be helpful.
@ThisIs543 I misread, I think. If this is a more recent breakup (I was thinking you had been dating other people for two years), it will get easier.
@honestCamp3536 I understand how you feel but allow yourself to feel it for a while. It is normal to feel sad and empty and all sort of those things. But you have to remember that even if you loved this person very much, you have to love yourself more and take care of yourself.
Everyone matters, without on gear, one cog the hands of time cannot turn it is because of 'us', that we are where we are today. When ww2 came to America it was not just the men that won the war its was everyone. The women who build the battle ships that combated the Busmark, the women who built the planes that sunk the Nazi fleet, bombarded military installations, ended the war with Japan. It was the sheep that mowed the lawns of the White House and wholl for clothing for the troops. The men who lay down their lives for their countries. Its because if us, the people who seen to not matter who built the world we have today, without people like you there would be no hope, no freedom. Your not useless, you were place here for a reason.
@honestCamp3536 I think that we all feel this way at some point in our lives. But I promise you, it's not the case. This community is amazing, and can provide some of the support you need. I hope that soon you realise your worth 💚
