I don’t have any energy, it’s difficult for me to even get out of bed.

@persistentNorth4830 fatigue is super common in depression. Getting up and going can be so hard some days. I set myself 6 alarms to make sure I’m up for the day and I always have something I let myself look forward to like a latte from my favorite coffeeshop or a donut for breakfast.

Sometimes focusing on the smallest things can help. Like breaking it down into simple steps like:
1. Wake up
2. sit up
3. turn off alarm
4. check time
5. swing legs off bed
6. stand up
and so on and so forth until you’ve gotten yourself going.

Setting small goals helps me. Or making a choice between two things that are both hard when I’m feeling depressed like either brushing my hair or washing my face.

Finding what works for you is a trial and error process but once you’ve settled into a new routine, it gets a little easier to get up.

Fatigue, loss of interest in things you used to love to do, even body aches and pains are very typical of someone suffering from depression. My suggestion to you is to make yourself get up and get out of the house. Find someone who you can make plans with and have them help you be accountable. It’s not easy. You’re not going to want to do it, or anything. But it’s important for your mental and physical well-being.
