Downward Spiral
Started a new job Im really not liking. Having a hard time letting go of the past and moving on from past opportunities. I want to stay in bed all day. I dont want to be alive. How can you force yourself to try to perform well at work when you dont even feel like moving? I wont be able to support myself next month if this continues. Its like theres some switch inside of me that I cant turn on. Changed meds last week and waiting for the difference. Not sure if Ill have my job, apartment, or car long enough to see if the meds work.
Whats something that works for you that makes you fake it till you make it? Just to get yourself to function and work and focus and make money and provide for yourself? How do you stop the downward spiral? Help.

I have days when it's really difficult to get out of bed. Those days are so hard to get through. I find that once I get busy the day goes by relatively quickly. If I have a day where work isn't busy it gets so much harder. Those days are days where I remind myself that getting through moment by moment is an accomplishment and I just keep stringing accomplishments together. Somedays, I have to remind myself of the things a stand to lose if I allow myself to be lost to depression. You are doing great things to take care of yourself, going to the doctor, trying new medication, being aware that it takes time for medication to work. What has worked for you in the past when you've experienced a downward spiral?
