Ghosting Through Life

Im Kevin, 43yo, divorced, 2 teenage boys (that don’t live with me)

I have been battling depression as soon as I could start talking. So, it’s been a struggle to reach 43, and my face shows it. Often people mistake me for being in my 60s.

I have been thinking more and more about ending it. I’m so tired of dealing with all of it. If life is supposed to be so great, why is it always so shitty for me. The worst parts heavily outweigh the good and I just don’t see a point to any of it anymore.

Sure a few people may be sad, but time will pass and I will be forgotten. That’s life. I even feel forgotten and I’m still here. Why push on? (Not a real question)

Guess I’ll see how today pans out.

@TrappedInLife I don't life is supposed to be great.

It's just an advert they keep playing non stop.

Have you discussed your feelings at moment with your therapist?

I have been feeling very low and unable to work or do anything. I'm trying new medication which so far seems to have eased some of the destructive urges.

In meantime I was calling crisis line if I felt like that.

It's tiring. It's exhausting. I'm not sure why we do it but we've got this far.

May you be at ease with yourself.
