Hello, Im Kit x
I am new to these feelings I'm battling. In December I broke up with my boyfriend. He had been getting close with a friend of mine and I didn't feel the love any more. Since then I have been so so depressed. I've had so many negative thoughts and the relationship was toxic, he was manipulative and controlling but I loved and still love him so much. I feel like he still owns me he's always in my head even though I never see him anymore. I've done loads of research and he's a narcissist. I gave everything to him and I'm so broken and scared to move on and to commit to someone new. I spend every night fighting sleep to try to keep him off my mind. I feel well and truly lost. I'm hoping now I may have a place to speak about how trapped I feel. Hope everyone is safe and well.Thank you.
@Kxtkxt01310 Hi Kit, I'm so sorry to hear about the break-up. It is very brave of you to open up and reach out for support. It is totally understandable to have doubts and concerns about starting a new relationship, especially after everything you went through. How are you coping? We are here for you, so feel free to reach out to the listeners at any time if you ever need someone to talk to. You do not have to struggle alone.
Best wishes, and have a lovely week. You are stronger than you know, and you will get through this. Reaching out here is the first step towards overcoming this obstacle. *hugs if you are okay with it* :)
@lovelyWhisper66 Thank you for your support. It's usually manageable as I am distracted with my friends and college work. I am in my last year before I go to university so my exams have been cancelled so I have no work to distract me, and obviously, with the lockdown, I cant see my friends.
However, I've decided to start some online courses to help me prepare for uni and to keep my mind busy. It helps during the day but I still struggle with negative thoughts on a night.
Thank you for your kind words. Stay safe and well. x
