Im not sure who all will read this, I'm pretty new to this app, but I'm trying to find some way of making my life better without medications that make me feel like a zombie & make my children question if I'll ever be the same again.

I'll start with some of the basics, I'm 32, female, divorced but involved with someone, have 2 boys, & a house full of animals that drive me batty on a good; downright insane on a bad day. 3 dogs, 3 cats, 2 birds & 2 turtles.

I feel like I've been depressed, to some degree any way, for damn near most of my life. If its not the pain from my childhood that gives me nightmares, its the bad decisions I've made in a futile attempt to make my life better. I'll skip over the crappy childhood for the time being, & lead with the more recent of my shortcomings.

As I said before, I'm 32. I'm almost 37K in student loan debt, (down from 49K; only because the department of Education seized my income tax return two years in a row) close to 35K in debt for vehicle's that I foolishly financed with my significant other who I'm pretty sure is a narcissistic psychopath. We own our home. Or I guess I should say, my name is on the deed, but he swears up and down that I never paid my "fair share" and should he take me to court, that he'd win the house because he can prove that he's paid more & done more in terms of repairing the place.

So, number 1 reason I'm depressed most of the time- Money issues, & a boyfriend who's a jerk.
