As written above, hello there ! I've always kinda avoided chats and forum so I don't really no the "etiquette", i'll post in this monthly thread to, hope I'm not overrdoing this ^^ I may be kinda chatty on this thread, I think an introduction require some length, right ?
That's kinda new to me, not really used to talking online, even less so about private matters like this one. But I have reached a point where taking action has become sorta mandatory, if you know what I'm saying.
I have not been properly diagnosed but I've done several test online, all said I've some case of depression ; currently booking with a proper psychologist to run a serious test.
It has been hard to accept that I may have some problem ; when you're like the economic 1% and you're trying to be openminded, you say to yourself "there are others with bigger problems", "you're just lazy/a liar/a somewhat sh*tty person"... But maybe I'm not sh*tty, maybe I have a problem and deserve support to, so why not ^^ !
Okay, that has been a bit lengthy and laking in structure, but sometimes the best way to introduce yourself is to share your thoughts ! Thaks for those who read this, I'm sure we'll get along great, and I hope you're having a good hair day ;3
Hello there! It is nice to see you here at 7 cups, a big welcome from all the community :) I think that it is good that you are booking an appointment with a professional. It is always the best option. However, I believe you dont have to have a mental illness to look for help. ALL of US sometimes need to be listened and understood. I think the focus should be on the symptoms and not on the label :). In regards to getting used to the forums and online chats, don't worry, I think when I joined 7cups I was feeling the same way, but now I am more comfortable to just whatever I am thinking. I think my favourite part of this website is that it does not matter if you are far away, by yourself, or if it is too late, you will always find someone here to support you.
