Hi I'm new
Hi people. I'm not really sure what I'm doing here. I'm a 43 year old man. I have a wife and three kids. I also have chronic health issues which have become worse to the point that I have had to take this year off work completely.
I sit alone at home every day. I have no motivation to do anything. I am on drugs that make me kind of drowsy all of the time. I feel empty inside. I feel like I am a drain and burden on my wife because every day I am either sick or depressed. I'm no fun to be around. I feel like my wife has started enjoying the company of another man at work and acting joking and playful with him. She used to have that with me and now we don't. She is having a fun friendship with him now and I am still just alone and sick and depressed.
I didn't really mean to write all of that but it came out. I feel lonely but at the same time I don't want to be around people. That's why I thought an online community like this may help.

ans i m sorry for your suffering , you are in the right place to find some support
and new friends
Hi there,
I too just joined this community. I am sorry about your situation, and your suffering. My father is permanently disabled from a botched vesectomy and has a life similar to yours in the sense that he can't do much anymore, is on heavy narcotics that have a million side effects, depression being one of them. You are not alone. I am sorry to hear about what is going on with your wife. It is really hard to see the one you love in pain, sick, and a different person than they used to be. It is life-changing. Try to be the man you used to be, before all this happened, and hopefully she can be the woman she used to be with you as well. You two can make it through together, just be one another's crutch. Be honest with her about your feelings, and hopefully she will be able to explain how she has been feeling as well.
