So .....I have found myself increasing unable to watch tv shows where the characters are put in embarrassingly uncomfortable or difficult situations. Has anyone else experienced this or am I just being neurotic.
I only had the thought that I wished I was (not here) once today.....A good day all in all.

I feel the same way. When a character lies and gets caught I hide behind a couch and don't watch what they will say to each other, or when a character falls on stage I can't handle watching it without making a big fuss or closing my eyes. I may not feel have exactly the way you do, but I understand and hope the best for you!
