Lonely when not alone
How do you cope with feeling lonely, even though you arent really alone? That feeling when you are with people, but, despite what they say, you feel theyd rather be with others. And they are constantly texting/messaging others, so you feel validated in your loneliness? And then, when that person stops messaging someone, so then that other person starts talking to you... now that they dont have someone better, more preferred to talk to... frustrating. And sad.
This is something that intrigues me, and by the way I completely relate to this, sometimes I prefer being alone, and other times I want to be with somebody, I just don't get it, As an attempt to understand this mystery, this what I believe: "If the relationship between "we", and our "minds" is strong, then this feeling can be avoided "(I truly cannot logically describe the difference between "we" and our "minds", I can only feel that they're not the same)

Since you also asked for coping strategies, you can try these:
Listen to music - Be it your favourite, or maybe try new ones
Watch something which makes you laugh - Laughter is really important, and a necessity in such situations
Go for a walk - Long walks with Nature(Trees are natural therapists) fill the mind with energy, and new insights(You might be able to better answer it)
If you don't feel like leaving your house - Try the first three, or if that is still not feasible, then try looking at the sky and if its cloudy, try figuring out what shapes the clouds make
All of the above have one element in common, they engross the brain in some activity, which is crucial in avoiding the feeling, and having a better control over it.
