My Young Dog died last week and I'm dying inside

Oh , I'm so sorry. The saddest times in my life are when my pets die. Often they are so selfless and loving that it feels like the end of the world when they pass away. I've called in sick at work when an animal has passed away. It's not trivial; there is real, hard grief associated with losing a four-legged or two-feathered friend. To some degree, the grief of loss helps us remind and appreciate the value of our 'other' children. Again, I'm very sorry for your loss.
