New here - unsure where to start
Been a tough year… left my job last December because I was planning on having some orthopedic surgeries… but my father got Covid in January and passed away in May. Had the surgeries, some complications but not horrible… rehabbing and looking for a job but got hit with severe depression. Moved back home and struggling
have been depressed for a while but it was never this terrible. Had a freak stroke ~15 years ago in my 20s and it’s been tough ever since

i'm so sorry to hear that you've had a tough year :( leaving your job and your father passing away is such a challenging thing to experience. i'm so sorry for your loss <3 i can't imagine how hard that must be for you, but i'm so glad to hear that you didn't have horrible complications from the surgeries and that you're rehabbing and looking for a job! being hit with severe depression is such a challenge and everything that comes with depression can be indescribable sometimes - i completely understand how hard depression can be. as exhausting as it is, know that there are people here for you and you aren't alone ❤️ all of us here in the depression subcommunity and on 7 cups are more than happy to support you and be there for you! there are lots of resources around our forum about coping with depression if you'd like to check them out :) i'm so proud of how far you've come and i believe in you.
