Hi, I do not know why they have deleted my messages, the one that told my problem and others giving support to my colleagues.

Hey @determinedFan3140 I am sorry that someone deleted your post. In general they (person who deleted it) provide reasons/explanation in PM. Was your post in this thread or somewhere in this subcommunity?

@determinedFan3140 I am okay, thank you for asking. I hope you are well. That's really sad when the post gets deleted/removed without proper explanation/reasons. It could also be a glitch, due to certain updates that occur on the site.

hello everyone, you can call me phillippa or phillie. i seem to go through cycles of trying and not-trying, and right now i'm trying. i guess it's better than never wanting to deal with my problems, but it's hard for me to accept mistakes i've made or forgive myself for not-trying.

i'm hoping that being more active on 7cups leads to healthier habits and making some real changes.

Ive been feeling depressed for about 2 years. Ive also been medicated for ADHD since grade school. Because i was on the same adhd medication for so long i eventually had to change types (possible tollerance due to time not abuse). ive jumped around different medications since then but in the past year and a half noticed that my depression symptoms and "bad days" match up pretty closely with the days I take my ADHD meds. I would go off them but my parents get mad because my grades drop. I can only describe the meds as putting a blanket over my head. Everything is dull and subdued. everything around me, my personality incuded. im just lethargic with no energy but perfect grades. I explained this to my parents and multiple doctors but they just say "ITs not a magic pill, but its pretty damn close and fixes everything"(actual quote) so do i drop the meds and be happy for once but with less than perfect grades or continue them, do well in school or be miserable?

Hello all, Im new here and trying to finally admit I have ISSUES! Im a master mechanic and firefighter/ captain. I have a wife and three children. Im nervous and worried honestly about even doing this because I am the type to bottle things up for years and years so bare with me.. my physical health is crap, my parents and brother have disowned me because I let a few skeletons out of my closet, I have been diagnosed with depression and recently was confronted by friends and my wife and kids to seek help because Im not myself and they are worried about me. Im happy but Im not happy if that makes sense. Never wanted to accept this at all. Hopefully this is a step in the right direction because I have 33 years of bad and good memories and experiences built up. Nice to meet you all!

@Mberry4952 you are taking an amazing step! Reaching out on your own is one of the very hardest things to do. What that shows is that you want to nothing but better! And you will I have faith you will. You are strong for your family and community so now it is time to be strong for yourself. I know you can do it. Also take advantage of the sun. Helps support dopamine and serotonin very important brain chemicals to help with depression.😁🌞 You got this!

@Mberry4952

First of all.... comgratulations on owning up to your feelings and admitting that you have a problem. Its the hardest thing, living in denial!

As you continue on this journey, ask yourself WHY you are not happy? Maybe write the things down that makes you experience negative emotions.... are your expectations of yourself too high/unrealistic?

What will make you happy? What changes can you make in your daily life to be happy? [Start with the small things like if you are unfit, take a 5 min walk for one week... then a 10min walk...] If you are a smoker smoke one less sigarette per week... etc

Hi,

I'm new here and I am struggling to find somewhere to turn. I hate to be all depressing and I am usually the type of person to just brush off my own problems and get up and go to help others with theirs.

Now is the time though that I really need somebody to talk to. I have lost everything. I am living in a place that I cannot leave but I now have nobody here. My closest friends are about 2 hours away and I am no longer close to them emotionally. Due to the nature of the situation I cannot speak to my family and due to the nature of my work I cannot speak to the doctor about anything.

I'm just hoping there may be people on here in a similar situation or that are willing to lend an ear basically as I do not know where to turn. I am completely alone in a place that I do not want to be but cannot get away from.

Thanks

Billy

Hello my name is Amanda. I have been going through relapses of my severe depression to where I used to be suicidal....though the suicidal thoughts still plague me, I'm resisting as much as I can. I have been dealing with a lot of family issues and abusive relationship issues. Luckily I got away in the relationship issues but....still dealing with family stuff
