Hello everyone , it's been almost an year since I joined this site but I had to take some time off to sort stuff out but well I realised that my time off has been doing me more harm than good . Things right now are shittier than ever and I just could use someone who'd understand and not judge . And I don't know if I'm taking the right step or just setting myself up for faliure again but I just want to get better you know? Anyways. I would like to thank whoever actually took their time out and read the whole thing, hope you have an awesome day ahead.
@GorgeouslyImperfect00
Hello!
I am new to the site and yet not I've had the app a long time just never dared join. I have been in a bad way for a long time now was sectioned twice in the beginning and I'm on to of things now I think and yet I don't feel any better? It's funny but I think being at the worst place is reassuring as things cannot get any worse... Do you know what I mean?
Here's hoping you get in top of this really soon!
Hello everyone!
I've had the tab to this page on my browser for days but unsure what to do about it. Today there was a gathering at a pub for people to meet. I had decided I would go but still was unsure of it even as I got dressed. I literally had my coat and scarf on before I decided to forego everything, change into my PJs and cry in bed (which is what I've been doing for the past... week?)... leading me to finally check this place out. Fingers crossed it works out because I dont want to feel like this anymore.
@Rose
How did I get off the list?
@Rebekahwriter13 which list?
@Rose the daily post
@Rebekahwriter13 The check-ins? There's an add/remove thingum at the bottom of the taglist :o if you use that form you can remove yourself from the taglist!
@Rose thanks I figured it out.
Hi. I am new here. I am a happy go lucky teacher but deep down inside I am sad. Often it is the people who omit positivity who are suffering. I have to leave my home of 7 years to go back to my family to support them amidst some problems and sickness but I am sad to leave. My home is awesome but because I work too much I don't really appreciate it for what it is. I am scared of change but change is needed and I htink going home to take a break will be a good hing for me to be around supporive friends and family. I am here now on 7 cups because I can't really support myself at the moment. I hope things get better.
Hi I'm newish. I have depression, anxiety, and OCD. Lately I've just been having such a hard time getting motivated. I worry so much about EVERYTHING. I hope to get to know you all!
@Catlover1993
I hope in your 7 cups member journey, it goes well!
@pastellexoxo
Thank you so much! I love it so far😌
My name is Aimee. Today, I don't think I have it in me to get out of bed. I'm broke until payday, sick with the flu, PMS'ing, and depresses to boot. My husband and dogs will be on their own if I can't get out of this funk, because bed and blackout curtains are totally winning right now.
@AtomicAimee
Heya Aimee! Some days can be really hard and we might feel like we need to take a break from life or just not do anything all day, it's totally ok to feel that way and to have a break every now and then if you need it especially if you're feeling ill :o How have you been feeling since? How are you today? <3
Hi, Im new to this and not really sure how it all works. I am a complicated human with what seem to be simple problems that I just cant fix. I sleep too much, I get too emotional and I dont truly smile enough. I dont know how to become a better me but Im open to any advice anyone has to offer.
Single mom, full time student, full time job, no support, constantly feel cut off and alone, often too worried to enjoy life and far too often defeated by my own mind.
Hi. It's my first time here and I'm having a tough mental health day. I was diagnosed with depression about 15 months ago, after living with symptoms since about 12. I'm scared that my meds are starting to lose their efficacy. Only a few people in my life know about my depression, so even though I have a good support group, it can be a pretty lonely feeling not wanting to drag others down.
My biggest problem right now it that I have no motivation in the morning. My alarm goes off and I just turn it off and go back to sleep - every - dang - day. Once I get up, I can't motivate myself to get ready to go to work, even though I'm not feeling the sadness or other depression symptoms. The process of making breakfast, showering, getting dressed, doing my hair and makeup, etc. is so exhausting, I usually want to lie down by the time I'm done. It takes hours and then it's lunch time I start to hate myself for wasting the morning. I alwys plan to prep things for myself (layout my clothes, pack my lunch . . .) the night before, but I just never get it done. I guess maybe my motivatino issues outlast the morning!
I am so lucky to have flexible work hours and a suportive boss and husband, but I feel like my career is stalling out. I was always a super high acheiver and now I've just got nothing going on. My husband and I want to have kids and I'm afraid I won't be able to motivate myself to care for them in the morning.
So, I'm here! And there's my emotional unloading for the day! Here's hoping we can help each other! Thanks!
hi, another newbie here.
Guess it's not exactly a good thing but what can you do. I just want to be able to get up in the morning and not hate every moment of being awake. to not be one bad event away from meltdown. It doesn't help that I have literally no good reason to be depressed so that just compiles onto the list of reasons as to why I think I'm worthless.
I currently work as a shop assistant for some really nice people. I'm quite lucky in that regard. But what I want to do is go and get my masters degree but I'm afraid to actually leave work even though I know I will never be happy there.I'm afraid of letting down the people who have been nice to me even though keeping them happy leads to me being perpetually unhappy. the dilema has lead me down the road of thinking of alternative solutions which mean I never have to make a choice again, if you know what I mean. The fear of what happens after my masters doesn't help either. This is my big dilema I guess, atm anyway.
thanks for reading.
