How to handle
I've suffered with anorexia since I was a pre-teen.most of the time I do good and I am able to not listen to "anorexia Brain" and "logical brain" wins the war.after I had my daughter I dropped a ton of weight with pregnancy and then lost it all while breastfeeding and pumping and then slowly gained it back.Nothing I did would make this weight go away.I wasn't overweight by any means.I'm 5'8" and would fluctuate between 145-148.it was just too much for me.Well my psych increased my adderall and my neuro put me on Qudexy XR and warned me that both have the side effect of decreased appetite.Well it did.The first few days I lost 10 pounds. Now it's been 2 weeks and I'm down to 130.I'm eating between 130-300 calories a day and drinking about half of a coffee and then just water all day.Logically I know I need to stop the medicine and eat but the anorexic part of me is loving it and wants to keep going and lose even more. How do I break the cycle?
Hi Ravensfeather222. I'm sorry you're going through this struggle. I think it's important to reach out to help and contact the helpline for the national eating disorders association (800)-931-2237. They can hopefully give u some advice on how to handle and better your situation. You can also learn more about them by googling them. Lastly, I think it's important to surround yourself and keep in touch with supportive and empathetic people in your life. Being around loving people can go a long way in dealing with any struggles you're facing. Hope this helps. Hang in there! You can get through this!
