My wife has an ed
tw: throwing up
How can I be there to support her? She doesn’t want to get better. I understand that. But is there any way I can help besides just watching her hurt herself. I want her to be happy and healthy. She is happy now, but everything she eats will not stay down. She will eat every day but only lets the food go down two days of the week. Is there anything I can do to be better for her? I’m always careful to say nothing that will trigger her ed or fuel it. I will always support her, but not her ed. Is the only way for her to get better through therapy or is there something I can do?
@discreetLunch4173 Hello, how are you doing? I am so sorry to hear that your wife is struggling with an eating disorder. I can imagine it must be extremely difficult for you to see her struggling. 😞 Does her family know that is struggles with this? I know that it can be so frustrating when you want your loved one to get help, but they refuse. I want to applaud you because you are so supportive of her and I can tell how lucky she is to have you. Beat Eating Disorders UK has a great link for supporting someone with an eating disorder. If she needs extra support, she can always call or text the National Eating Disorders Association. I hope this is helpful and please remember to take care of yourself too! Good luck to the both of you ❤️
I’m doing great! Thank you for asking. She has done a good job of hiding it from her family. I believe they have had their suspicions but they never lead to anything. I believe only her closest friends and I know about it. Thank you kind stranger for the links! I’ll make sure to look over them. Thank you!
@discreetLunch4173 You're so welcome! Everything will be okay and you both are so strong! Keep your head up and we are here for you! 💜
