Hi recently my family has been commenting about my weight in a negative way and they tell me that I should eat more healthy and due to that I feel like tomorrow I am going to skip meals more often due to my family commenting about my weight in a negative way.

@Clairebear233

Hello Claire. I am sorry to hear that your family was commenting about your weight in a negative way. Remember that there are many eating behaviors that might make your situation worse (e.g. extreme dieting). These behaviors might work in the short term but usually backfire. What you might do instead of trying to change your eating habits in a radical way is to find an alternative middle way. For example, instead of skipping a meal completely (what might produce strong cravings and later you might end up eating even more), consider eating a smaller amount, for example. What I also found helpful in trying to lose some weight is not eating too late or when my body asks for something sweet I eat something like dates or naturally made snacks (e.g. yogurt drops or something made from fruits). This way you can also enhance your eating habits without putting too much pressure on your body. You can search for alternative ways to replace some unhealthy foods you might eat, there are lots of resources online. I am attaching a small example below :) Hope my answer helped.

And remember to love yourself as you are. Do not let other people bring you down.
