Triggered to relapse
Hi
I am 18 years old and was diagnosed with anorexia at 14, and have been in and out of recovery since then. I have just left school and am starting uni in a few weeks, and I am desperate to lose all of the weight and more so that when I come back at Christmas people can understand that I can't cope with life, I am not cut out to do things.
@caramelcappuccino I'm sorry you had to deal with anorexia for such a long time, it can be really hard to deal with. Starting university is scary and adjusting to it takes time, but this doesn't mean you can't cope with anorexia. You're strong. Losing weight happens, but you don't have to let it define you. How's recovery going? Do you manage to eat properly while at home?
In your post, you stated that you want people to realize that you are unable to cope with life. Do you have any idea on what you need in order to cope better? (I know this is no small question!)
Please show yourself kindness and patience.
If you need assistance figuring out how to cope better, look for it. Getting assistance is a sign of strength, not a sign of weakness.
Be strong.
