Trigger warning, I just signed myself up for counseling and I'm super nervous

Like i said, TRIGGER WARNING.

I relapsed a few weeks ago (well almost 2 months now) and just looked into counseling. I feel like they aren't going to take me seriously if I don't double time it to be skinny by the time i go in. I'm trying to break the cycle dammit, not make it worse!

Hi, @Checkerpantsbandit

I'm in a very similar situation. I've just made an appointment with a psychologist. I also feel that they will not take me seriously because I'm in a "normal" weight, but, when those doubts strike me, I try to think that it's their job to listen to people and take whatever they say seriously.
Don't try to lose weight just for them to take you seriously. You signed up for counseling because you want to be better, so it doesn't make much sense to make yourself sicker now.
You are strong, don't forget that. You will break the cycle.

Hi @Checkerpantsbandit, I totally get that! I relapsed in October, but nobody wanna help me until I'm underweight, so I have to get underweight (and even more drowned by my ED) before I can get help. And that sucks! It's not fair that one can't get help, before you are really, really sick sadfrown

I hope though that you can get help soon, even if you aren't skinny heart

@Checkerpantsbandit

you seam anxios and worried
