Accountability buddy
Hi there,
I was looking for a buddy to exchange encouragement and updates on my journey to healthy eating.
I tend to eat as a distraction for stress or just for the taste, and I’d like to reduce that. Under when I’m really hungry and not overeat .
Also willing to follow my fitness routine better without always postponing.
if anyone feels like exchanging encouraging messages on our common path, please contact me :)
Sure?!
I have a high metabolism and a very irregular, distorted eating pattern.
Can you suggest a way to communicate the concerns or status, or should this thread suffice?
I see that I cannot send direct messages. I think it would be great if there were listeners In the forum and we could pair up with someone specific play available for these chats
@vlst I'd like to help support and encourage your goals also but not sure how to do it in this setting....
Hey, did you figure out a way to connect? I’d be up for joining and helping each other to stay focused with some encouragement :)
Hi I'd love to
I would like to join you and encourage you in your journey!
I’m a fairly recovered binge eater. Triggers are anxiety and…. Happiness??
i have isolated myself and have recovered; my fear is that dating or living with someone may upset that. Since I’m 47 and still single, that may not even be a factor. But….. I’m lonely too.
I totally get this.
How about we all create a group on Instagram to connect ? Only if you guys feel comfortable :)
I don't think we are supposed to connect outside by the site rules. Also, members can't connect members. I'm a new listener and you can connect me directly. I like the idea of an Accountability buddy. I'm failing lately in my emotional eating. Sending good vibes to everyone here. Unrelated, has anyone tried the 12 step approach for overeating?
I’d be more than happy to join. I’m in the same boat as @vlst
Stress, anxiety, sadness, and honestly just sitting in front of the tv trigger my binge eating/ unhealthy habits. I’d love to stop the cycle.
So I’m here for the exchange of encouragements!
@TunnelVision54
Watching TV in evening is my trigger too!!!
If I get myself occupied by reading a book or doing something else, I'm less likely to have emotional night eating. The thing is, my wife loves to watch reality TV on relationships, and she expects me to join her. I admit, I find it interesting too, to compare how others struggle with relationship too.
