Been trying to quit, but I get this weird feeling after a while.

So I read Brain over Binge by Kathryn Hansen, and it really gave me hope and changed the way I think about binge eating; I know that binge eating isn't driven by some psychological need, but by a bad habit created by starving myself while dieting, and reinforced over the years. Despite this I find that after a few days of being binge free, I wind up getting urges, (which is fine, I just have to ignore them) but the part that has me a little weirded out is that I get this weird tingly feeling on my tongue and find myself constantly salivating. Sometime througout the day I feel hyper-aware of my salivating and tonngue (I KNOW THAT SOUNDS WEIRD). I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar experirence and has any tips for overcoming it.
