Sometimes, if you are hungry for a snack, but aren't actually hungry, a healthy way to fix this might be to drink some water in place of food.

Another way to fix this might be to get rid of any unhealthy snacks, and replace them with vegetables or something more healthy like yogurt, or wheat bread.

I hope this helps!

Hi, I've been in the same situation before and it's only been a week since I stopped bingeing. I tried to eat fruit instead of reaching for snacks, which I know a lot of websites already say. I found that when I had fruits in the fridge, I would be too lazy to leave my room to get them, so I snack on food in my room which are unhealthy. So it might be helpful to have some fruits within reach, and maybe try not to buy snacks. And whenever you reach for something, try to question yourself if you actually want it or if it is just a habit. I've tried repeatedly to stop bingeing in the past and failed, but what allowed me to stop this time round was envisioning an end goal. I thought about a goal I wanted to achieve and I knew that if I didn't stop bingeing, I wouldn't be able to get there. So, before I reach for more food, I'll think about the goal. It might help to eat without distractions too, like don't use your phone when you eat. Maybe try to set small goals, for instance, try to have a binge-free day, then continue the next day. I use a habit tracker for this. It does get easier as you go along because you don't want to break the streak.

I hope this helps! I know you can do it :)
