If you're fasting and feeling dizzy, tired, etc. You should probably eat something. I understand that you may not want to but honestly it's in your best interest.

I have some experience fasting for religious purposes. The previous poster is definitely correct. I would stop fasting immediately and maybe call a doctor, but only you know yourself best.

Why are you fasting? Are there particular reasons? I agree that of it is compromising your health, you should eat. If it's for religious/spiritual needs, remember that there are modified versions for those that can't due to health issues. My ex would stop eating due to stress and emotions and he would end up with similar symptoms--nothing helped except eating and rest. I fast for religious/spiritual reasons but I make sure I follow rules that make sure I am keeping my body hale. Please make sure you are eating, keeping hydrated and getting medical attention if any of this persists. Good luck. Keep us posted.

I have experience fasting after a day of binging. BUT as soon as I feel sick, I eat something healthy like fruit. I use fasting to cleanse of junk food

If you are fasting for religious reasons, you still need to provide your body with certain nutrients. If you are fasting because you are trying to counteract a binge, then it will be more healthful to do a fruit and veggie fast. Also, drink lots of water!

When fasting, a natural detox occurs and it is quite normal to go through both physical and emotional change during a prolonged fast. Pure water is important as you can only survive three days without. You can go three weeks without food and only 3 minutes without air.

It depends upon your reasons for fasting. Be mindful of any medical conditions which can be effected by fasting. For a long term fast it is good to end with a potassium broth because your potassium will be depleted and you may needpotassium supplementsduring your fast.

It helps to have an open minded doctor.

Your mileage may vary.
