I have no idea if I have an eating disorder but it sure seems likely. I've been struggling since I was 14 and I'm 16 now. I'm in a country where people don't even know what binge eating is they just believe that you're lazy so I am kind of stuck at the moment I went to a nutritionist who is also my personal trainer I have been in isolation and she yells at me when she notices I gained weight but I can never find the right words to describe how I feel and how hard it is for me it's more than just being too lazy to stick to a diet. My family doesn't try to help either I'm very encouraged at my home even.

It's great that you have come here for support. I understand what you are going through.
Food can be abused like a drug when you find yourself feeding things other than hunger. People can be unaware of the psychology behind why people eat, or having eating disorders. Some have a shallow view of what an eating disorder is.

Some people respond to harshness, and criticism and yelling - but when there is something deeper going on, those things can be more harm than good.

If I may offer you some suggestions -
Podcast: losing 100 pounds with Corrine
Book: Atomic Habits by James Clear

Keeping coming here for support, it's so good to have someone listening when you mentally just need to work through the issues.

If your trainer is yelling at you, and you feel it is not working to help you, I would explain to them that you do not respond well to negative behaviour modification techniques. This means things like yelling, spanking, punishment etc

Positive behaviour modification techniques include praise, encouragement and rewards for small successes.

Different people respond differently to negative or positive feedback - and that is totally normal, and totally fine. It's insightful to notice when something is not working for you. If your trainer does not understand this, and cannot adjust to support you correctly, then simply they are not a good match for you.

The best trainers and support professionals can assess what approach will work best for their subjects, and adjust to meet their needs. But sometimes trainers need us to share with them, what works better for us - and sometimes we just need to find a better match!

You got this.

Hi i really want to say that i understand you so much i have lived with same toxic conditions and that lead me to binge eating i really mean it when i say be confident in yourself (even if your not fake it till its true) dont listen to them at all they will make you worse and please if you can have therapy do it if you cant just listen to your body eat as normal and follow people with eating disorders or therapists create a non toxic environment

Hope you have a good healthy life 💗
