Hi there. I'm new here and I still am not sure if I fit im here.

Recently, after some soul searching, I figured I am additcted to sugar. My wife brought this to my attention after getting worked up after a glass of coke I could not have at that time. Yes, I am aware that it is "just sugar" but for me is really hard to quit and to control.

Also, I used to struggle with bulimia as a child, and I overcame this and in my teens it was anorexia. I also have a few personality and other disorders, which help my sugar addiction grow stronger.

I am also a picky eater, because I have the tastebuds of a child. The more simple and sweet the better, or mashed food or soup. I don't know, I have some food issues since ever.

After all this rambling, all I wanna know is if I'll be able to find help and support with the sugar addiction here.

@Bubbsch96

I'm certainly no expert but in my reading it seems like food addictions are very similar to other addictions in that there is an underlying emotional need not being met. We turn to food, drugs, other things in an attempt to fill that need but it never works. I think your best bet is to connect with a listener here during a live chat so you can talk about things in general which may be behind your addictive behavior.

Good luck!
