I don’t know how to get over my ed…
I binge and then I get upset and I won’t eat for a while, but eventually I binge again because of something that happens. I give up and I say it’s not worth it, might as well eat bc my weight won’t matter soon, but I get over it and get super upset and depressed because I binged again..
Not just that, recently I’ve been able to stop binging mostly because I just got my braces off and I force myself not to take it out to eat. So even though that might be working, I feel horrible when I don’t eat, like I’m sick, and I feel the same when I do eat, no matter how little or much I eat and how healthy or unhealthy it is. Did I ruin my metabolism??

I'm sorry to hear that you've been struggling with binge eating and the emotional rollercoaster that comes with it. It's great to hear that you've found a strategy that works for you in terms of preventing binges with your braces. It's important to address the underlying issues and emotions that lead to the binges in the first place.
Skipping meals or restricting your food intake after a binge is not a healthy way to manage your emotions or your weight, it's important to find a balanced and sustainable approach to your eating habits. You may consider seeking the help of a therapist or registered dietitian, who can work with you to develop a personalized plan that addresses both your emotional and physical health.
As for your metabolism, it's unlikely that you've permanently damaged it. However, extreme dieting or irregular eating patterns can cause your metabolism to slow down temporarily, this is why it's important to focus on building healthy habits that promote balanced nutrition and regular exercise. Be kind to yourself and remember to take things one step at a time ❤️
