It takes a lot of courage to reach out for help as you have just done, and I am afraid this will not be an easy road, it is indeed quite common to switch between eating disorders and the latest report I read indicated that as many as 50% of people suffering from bulimia had a history of anorexia (although this does vary a little between groups) the fact remains that you are not alone in this. I would wonder if you had any support in dealing with your eating disorder, a dietician perhaps or if your family knew. As you are young and 7cups does not endorse promoting any particular medication I am not sure if I should mention this or not but in some cases anti depressants can help (but that is something that should be discussed with a healthcare provider locally).
@Miracle im going to the theraphy but i cant stop eating attacks. my parents know that too.
@JediQueen I have a fair amount of experience with this and I wanted to be honest with you. Sometimes in anorexia recovery this can happen and outpatient treatment is not equipped to deal with it because of the risk of developing refeeding syndrome and electrolyte imbalances. I would wonder if you have medical monitoring and any nutritional guidance in addition to therapy and whether your parents would be willing to help you for a while, there is a method developed by the maudsley hospital in London which teaches families how to treat anorexia and the complications at home, it may be worth doing some reading up on it.
In addition to this I wanted to reassure you that you are not a failure, what you are facing is a very real battle and if this was a solely physical illness such as cancer it would generally be accepted that your marks would be secondary to your health. The most important thing is that you have the best chance of recovery and if that means academia has to fall by the way side for a while then that is okay.
