Never-ending hunger

I don’t know how this thread works, or anything else really. But I’ve been really down in the dumps lately. There’s no one I can talk to about this because no one will ever understand. Every single day I eat more than I could handle. I eat every hour, at least seven servings a day. It got so bad that I can’t even be full anymore. I either feel extremely hungry or like my stomach is gonna pop, there’s no in between and I hate it. I hate this. I hate how I’m feeling. I hate how I look. I hate who I am because of this. I can’t look at myself in the mirror because of how disgusted I feel. I keep gaining weight without being able to stop it. I am an embarrassment. I have tried to stop. I tried using rubberbands, didn’t work. I tried fasting, didn’t work. I tried exercise but I don’t have neither the energy or strength nor do I have the motivation. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I don’t know what I’m expecting, but anything that stops me feeling this way, at least for a bit, is a win.

I drink tea when I feel like I am about to emotionally eat something. I also limit the amount of food I have in my home and stick to healthy snacks. I have one meal a day that I really enjoy but I cook it, I take about an hour to prepare the meal and it’s taught me a lot about food and I have a new respect for it. Instead of binging on a bag of potato chips I learned a really cool potato recipe and when I crave potatoes I’ll cook that and manage my portions. I also make sure I now balance my plate with a variety of foods. I found that after a few weeks of this I actually didn’t enjoy the taste of the unhealthy food as much as my homemade meals.

@TealAquamarineWintervibes When you feel like binging, what helps me is to get out of the house. Go on a walk or something. Don't go grocery shopping or anywhere near where you can buy food. That will only make it worse, trust me. But get out and get away. Take up a hobby. You probably eat that much (I think), bc you are bored and your stomach thinks bored equals = hunger.

I can only say what works for me. But if you buy tons of crap and stuff then you have to figure out a way to not buy it. For me it helps if I go grocery shopping with someone I don't wanna look like a "pig" (I do not say you look like a pig heart) in front of. Then you will automatically don't buy that stuff, and when you don't buy it, you don't have it in the house, and then you can't binge on it!

Have you tried telling a doctor? Maybe they can refer you to a specialist. Maybe it can be managed with medication or therapy or both?
