New here, just need someone to level with me
I have never sought help before. This is new for me, as a man at a young age its instilled in us to push things down and deal with it. I can't do that anymore. I'm a 38-year-old man in a happy, loving marriage of 10 years, and I have a Binge eating disorder. When I am upset, I eat for comfort, but then I eat until I'm sick, and then I feel awful. The cycle is brutal for me. Some days/weeks are better than others, where I try to stay on track with food and being mindful, but other times my emotions get in the way.

I'm not sure how helpful I can be here, being a teenager. I personally suffer from quite the opposite. I barely eat most days and quiet frequently feel weak and ugly as a result. Anyway, if you're struggling with losing weight or just eating less I would recommend water. S LOT of water. Drinking a lot of water frequently and especially before big meals usually means you eat less. Make sure you also consult your wife on how this is *really* affecting you and it's not something negligible.
@EulalioPirozzi Have you tried to take a portion of food and tell yourself after finishing it "i will wait 5min and if i want more i will go for another portion" , our brain needs around 5/10min to notice signals from the stomach that it recived food
