Rollercoaster
I've always been big, but it became a noticeable issues after I turned 13. I was *edited for mentioning specific weight* I became bulimic/anorexic(and other slf harm stuff) 14 to 17. It honestly didn't seem to do anything, I was still big just always hungry I would eat in front of people then throw it all up. After I turned 17 I stopped eveything and just started eating now all I do is eat. *edited for mentioning specific weight* and I don't know what to do...

@Bexyboo97 Yeah, sweetie, that's the truth of it. Bulimics are "of normal weight" most of the time which means, also, that if you're starting with some extra weight that it's not going to really shed a bunch. Hard because we get it in our heads that this is going to be "the magic bullet" and are causing harm to ourselves with no perceivd payoff. Are there other more mainstream ways you can manage your weight?...these evils we do to our bodies aren't, ya know, generally accepted and recommended and all. =))))) Poking fun at myself here, too, so please take the humor from that statement that was intended. I don't B/P for weight management, rather for the comfort provided afterward. Am learning to shift my focus elsewhere when I need that. But what about seeing a nutritional counselor or what do you like ot do re: movement that you can incorporate every day? And for a small step first, who can you share this with IRL who can hold you accountable to staying away from "praying to the Porcelain God"?
@WasaBePanda8675 honestly being poor has kept my head out. Like like I went from " wasting" food to eating it when I see it. When I was in high school I definitely was more active but because of other reasons (horrible back and foot pain) I just basically sit at home and eat. It's not like I don't have time to exercise but it's just actually doing is my issues. I can't muster up the physical motivation. I also live with and take care of my disabled father and he is no help because he thinks I'm perfect no matter what, I can't do it alone but the only person I'm ever arong can't do it at all so I'm just stuck.
@Bexyboo97 - so sorry you feel trapped like that. What about in your community? Are there any groups you could join where folks are more active? Surrounding yourself with like-minded people is surely movitating and holds you accountable. You don't have to got it alone. You DO have to make that first step, though, movement in your routine is lacking. Nobody can move for you. Once you put the investment in there, I'd bet the eating might fall into a healthier place...you won't want to undo all the good your doing with the physical activity. Thoughts?
@Bexyboo97
Yeah, money plays into my eating patterns too. When I'm poor, I get ascetic and controlled; I'm tight with money and food. When I have plenty of money, I begin to splurge where it's not appropriate for myself. I hate wasting food because that's wasting money, then I eat stuff I don't want to.
@Bexyboo97
I edited your post because the guidelines for the ED subcommunity do not allow people to mention specific weights to avoid people from getting triggered. Stay safe and have a great rest of your day
