Eating Disorders and Mental Health - Day 10! (free glitter)
Hey everyone! This is the second to last day of this forum discussion, hooray! If you need 1-on-1 support, please don't hesitate to reach out to a Listener of your liking from Browse Listeners.
For today's question of the day, what can be some of the coping mechanisms for mental health problems stemmed out from eating disorders? Have you or anyone you know of, has practised these?
I came for the free glitter
Some coping mechanisms I can think of are:
-doing some gentle stretching/yoga/mindfulness
-cooking healthy meals with friends
-doing a puzzle (or game of your choice!)
-talking to friends, family, and professionals.
There are of course many unhealthy coping mechanisms, but I won't go into those as it's not productive in this converstion! I have definitely used all 4 coping mechanisms I listed, some more than others. At times I turn to bad behaviors, but I try to remember my list of choices and turn to those.
clue for forum hunt: to :)
