So for today's new question...

...drumroll...

Why is it important to have a support system? What would be some good examples of a support system for people dealing with eating disorder & added mental health issues?

I think support system for mental illnesses are so very important.

Family support is important because even just them knowing about your mental illness can make feel better cause its not kept all to your self and not something dealing completely on your own. And they try to understand more knowing. Even if you dont talk about it with family but them knowing youre struggling, makes me feel less alone. And sometimes can see the struggle more times than others and could encorage self care or spend more time with you. And help you try to receive personal goals by checking on what youre doing and stopping you from doing unhealthy behaviours.

And think professional supoort is also just as important because you can speak to them freely about what is going through your mind and they can help ractionalise what youre thinking and help think of triggers and stuff. And give treatment.

think things like online support system is good. Just knowing there are others suffering with the similar makes me feel less alone and less isolated with my mental illnesses. Even though is sad knowing others are struggling aswell.
