Binge cycle to avoid Restriction

Hi this is my first time posting here, I just wanted to know if anyone felt the same.

I feel as though I've had a form of binge eating since I was very young and only broke out of this when I started excessive calorie counting and exercising.

This gave me the appearance of someone with eating problems and my parents became concerned.

As I started going to counselling and stopping restriction the binging came back and I cant seem to stop it food is on my mind all day because I feel as though the only way to stop the binges is to go back to how I was but I do want to recover and dont want to become as obsessed with calories as I was

I'd greatly appreciate any advice or anyone who related to any parts of this story

I'm sorry in advance if I'm not allowed to post this!

Thanks for reading

@thoughtfulBranch6518 Nice to meet you, and thank you for sharing <3 I am sorry to hear about those difficulties and I hope you'll be able to feel better very soon. I think a professional would be the best at helping you, if you're able to see one!

Hey there,

I also have a compulsive eating disorder. Have you tried OA meetings? They can be seriously helpful.

I'm sorry you're going through this, but it does get better.
