Do I have an eating disorder?
(Possible trigger warning)
Hi everyone. I hope all of you are doing ok. So, for about a week in a half, almost two actually, I've been restricting my calorie intake, chewing and spitting out sweets (just to get the flavour), tried to make myself throw up when I went over my restriction but I couldn't do it. I've thought about purging and fasting sometimes, food is on my mind a lot (what do I eat for dinner? How many calories? What's for tomorrow) and I follow and write down every calorie, down to the last sip of juice. I get anxious when faced with resteraunts and gatherings. I've denied food a lot too. I have screenshots on my phone of calories of different foods (I'm going on a plane and I did that to be able to track my calorie intake.). Last year, i restricted a lot, lost weight and has to stop because of my parents and I cracked under pressure. I've worked out before a lot (5 times a week like intense cardio) had to stop that too, and I've dieted before too and once again, had to stop due to parents. However, this time it's more.. what's the word? Serious? I guess.
I am not asking for a diagnosis from you guys, just some advice. Do you think I have one? Sometimes I feel like I'm faking it all and can stop but i don't, I keep going and restricting. Thanks for reading! Hope this didn't trigger anyone.
@reservedfaith01also forgot to add that I did swim several times in these two weeks and thought about how many calories I burned and I also have a screenshot on my phone of how many calories lost with ten minutes of swimming etc etc so I can know
@reservedfaith01 It is difficult to identify if one has a eating disorder without a extensive picture. I would encourage you to seek medical advice
