Help me figure this out or share similar experiences
possible tw?? Idk if I’m supposed to add those better safe then sorry tho
So like a year and a half ago I ended up losing 30-35 pounds in the span of two months and at first I didn’t know why. Nothing sounded appetizing at all and if I did eat it I would end up throwing it up without trying to purposely twenty minutes later. I went to the dr multiple times got blood work ua etc etc they couldn’t find anything. It got to the point where I was constantly having people ask me if I was okay. I could only keep things down like apples or saltines for a good 7 months. There was nothing wrong with my body so I’m confused as to what that may have been. An involuntary Ed? Lately I’ve been somewhat managing my weight but I’m still pretty underweight and cannot gain that weight back and keep it because my appetite is rarely there.
@moosker227 I'm sorry that sounds like a rough time being sick so long and not being able to eat. You know your body better than anyone. Keep taking care of yourself and advocating for your health. I hope you can get some peace of mind once your health care providers can profer an accurate diagnosis.
Thank you I appreciate that a lot it does get to be draining at times especially when I cannot eat and I just feel weak. But I try to make myself eat even when nothing sounds good and my body doesn’t want it.
@moosker227 It's difficult to force oneself to eat and you trying to do so when needed shows how strong you are, even if only a few bites is all that can be mustered. I would recommend a mass gainer protein shake (or another high-calorie drink) for when eating feels difficult and/or food seems repulsive. Drinking is usually easier than chewing/eating during such difficult times.
