Recently Ive started to make an effort to eat healthy and to eat less food. Even though I know about eating disorders I cant stop thinking I should stop eating to loose weight. Even though Ive realized starving myself isnt the right way to loose weight, I still want to starve myself because not eating feels good. But Im scared of all the health affects and ugh I feel like Im hurting people who actually are struggling by thinking this way.

I'm really glad that you chose to recover. That's a very difficult step and it's not going to be easy, but I know that you can do it. It's important to remember that the food was never the enemy, your mind is. Your mind tried to make it seem like the worst thing in the world to enjoy what you are eating. With an eating disorder, everyday feels like a battle. Muscle pains, tiredness, and always feeling weak and sick. You deserve to live your life to the fullest and enjoy every second. You are so much more than someone who neglects her own needs in attempt to fit into a certain size.

Recovering from an eating disorder is probably the hardest thing I will ever have to do. I cant say Im recovered, or even close, but Im getting there. It is so easy to give up, to give in to the voices inside your head that tell you youre not good enough, but you don't have to give in. Your mind is lying to you. You are enough just the way you are now.
