I'm new here
Hey @RexieRecover
Thank you for introducing yourself here, Emily! I am glad that you decided to join in with our Eating Disorder Community today. I know that sometimes it can be difficult to make the first step in recovery - even when those around us feel like we need it, it doesn't make it any easier. I am really glad that you are here today, and to hear that you are attempting to focus on recovery throughout 2019 - I think that is a perfect goal, and although recovery isn't one straight road, I hope that you are able to make progress within your recovery with the support of all of us at 7 Cups!
Everybody is welcome here, whether you are diagnosed or not - and although a diagnosis can give us some guidance on what we may be suffering with, you know you best - so no matter what, if you are struggling than we are here to help support you through this!
Mhm, I can understand that - it doesn't necessaily have to be fasting or purging that equates to an unhealthy relationship with eating, and it certainly sounds like something between your body and mind is being put off by the sight or taste of food and therefore you are having that reaction. It seems like you are having quite a few symptoms as a result of this - with maybe some body dysphoria, depression and also being a little fatigue. Does this sound about right? Have you discussed this with anybody else at all?
I know that sometimes we can see ourselves in a negative perspective, and it can be hard to find the positives, because they are hidden away - but remember that underneath all of this, you are still you - and you are amazing! If you were to name 3 positive things about yourself, what would they be?
I hope that you are able to get some support that you are seeking here at 7 Cups! We are here for you
