Outgrowing Food=Fat. Any ideas?
I've always had a few extra pounds and as a kid was mercilessly tortured for my weight. I never had an eating disorder in the extremity of anorexia or bulimia but I do at times avoid eating because the thought of eating makes me fat still exists. I have a stomach condition from stress caused by my depression that can make eating very unpleasant as I start getting sharp pains and nausea after consuming food. For a little bit of background I'm an FTM transgender so was implanted with female beauty and body standards.
While there's not much that can be done about the dyspepsia, I would like some idea on how to beat the mindset of food=fat and 'if I eat I'll be fatter than I already am."
Hi, I feel this way sometimes too. I used to go days without eating though, so it's gotten better. For me it's always helpful to think of how much better, healthier and stronger you feel when you eat and also just enjoying the foods you eat. I feel like I hate myself for being a little plumper but I think it's totally cute on others and I would have no issue dating a girl who's plus sized. So in that sense it's silly of me to feel insecure. I'm sure you might feel differently than me, but I hope his helps. Best wishes!
