Relapse & Feeling Alone
Hi all. Here's so background on me:
I'm new to 7 Cups. Previously, I was diagnosed with Avoidant Restrictive Food intake Disorder, but then I was in recovery long enough to get it removed from my chart, nearly two years ago.
Well, ever since this past August, I've had some health stuff going on. Doctor's can't figure it out. I have nausea and stomach pain all the time. I feel awful & yet all my tests, scans, procedures, etc say that I'm perfectly healthy.
Along with this and tons of new stress and pressure, I've fallen into a bad relapse. I did tell my therapist today at the end of our session, and she asked me who I can have as my "accountability person" and that's when I realized I don't have one.
I'm married and love my husband (he's like my bestfriend) but he just doesn't fully understand eating disorders. He really tries to, but if he tries to "help" me at all it's more triggering. I just don't have another person in my life that I could have as an accountability person and it's just made my depression even worse today because I just feel alone.
Sorry this is so depressing, it's just a rough season for me right now and this isn't even getting deep into everything.
Hi @LavendarAndLime, it's super depression, but do you know what? So is life. It's really hard to recover, and you need someone who understands you to support you. Please feel free to write to me at any time. I have lots of experience with recovering and relapsing (currently I'm relapsing though), but I would love to talk to you, if you need it
