Relapsed *possible trigger warning*

Recently I have relapsed back into old habits. I had a bulimia diagnosis around 3 years ago and over the past 12 months things have been steadily declining in terms of my eating. However I seem to have turned to restrictive habits this time around. I feel like such a failure for relapsing and I think what makes it even worse is that nobody around me seems to notice. My mum is praising me for healthy eating and she only ever says she is proud of me when I'm not eating enough. I'm just not sure what to do, I don't want to talk to her but I wish she'd stop making those comments about my eating habits because she knows about my past history with an ED and its so stressful.

Hi, I am really sorry that you feel your eating habits are declining. It is so hard when those around us don't notice our pain or our need for support. I personally understand that more than you know. The fact that your mum knows and isn't realising must hurt more. I know the comments may hurt and make things seem worse because they fuel the ed thoughts but we are all here to support you and your journey. I hope things work out and that she notices soon :)
