hi, i had a baby 6 weeks ago and i’m 40 lbs. heavier than before i had kids. i hate how i look. i do not feel attractive at all. when my baby was born we all got covid and so i stopped eating a lot and i lost 30 lbs in 2 weeks (which brought me down to 50 lbs above my starting weight). my husband has been cheating on me because since i started having babies my sex drive has plummeted along with my body image. so for the last week i’ve been only eating dinner and drinking coffee. i’ve lost 10 more lbs and i like it. i don’t feel starving during the day but i would feel better if i ate. i make food for everyone else i just don’t eat it. also sometimes when we fight really bad i’ll go make myself throw up. it’s very releasing for me and it feels good. i did this a child too when my parents would fight really bad. is this an eating disorder? i feel such guilt because i have 2 girls and i don’t want to teach them to hate your body.

@stayathomemom247 Hi, I hope this message finds you well. I am so sorry to hear about everything going on and I'm really sorry to hear that your husband cheated on you. Please know that you don't deserve this and that you deserve much better than that. I know that having a baby can be such a change mentally and physically, but remember that it takes time to lose the weight. I would definitely reach out to your doctor about all of this. You could also reach out to a great organization called Postpartum Support International. They have a Helpline that you can call or text at 1-800-944-4773. Please find more information here at their website: https://www.postpartum.net/ They also have a lot of online support groups that you can find here: https://www.postpartum.net/get-help/psi-online-support-meetings/ I hope this helps and please remember to be kind to yourself. You will get through this! ❤️
