My mom?
Hey everyone... i hope its okay to share this here and ask for your opinion.
My mom was anorexic in her youth and i feel like she hasnt fully recovered yet.... in one day she only eats like 2 breads and maybe some fruits? thats it. she is really really skinny and barely eats an normal healthy meal.
thing is i dont know how to help her as she thinks her eating behavior is normal. i eat normal, and she keeps telling me i eat too much and look fat often even though i really am not fat. im really really skinny so i dont understand it... my BMI is normal/slightly to underweight.
my dad keeps giving her a weight that she needs to archieve so that she doesnt get too skinny but i feel like this all isnt healthy and im not sure what to think...
i d really appreciate any comments or opinions i can get. wishing you all a lovely day!

Hi!
I'm sorry that you're going through this. It is very very hard when someone that we care about is having troubles with an eating disorder.
The super hard part in your situation is that your Mom doesn't seem to realise that she has a problem.
I'm curious - are there any parts of her eating that point to where a problem is? Does she have any health concerns because of a weight loss? Is she not fitting into her clothes? Not having the energy that she used to? Withdrawing from family/friends? Finding concrete examples can really help. It can be very easy to say things like "I don't feel like more" or "I'm not hungry", but it can be much harder to dispute passing out from malnutrition.
It might be helpful to have a chat to your Dad about this. It sounds like he's concerned about your Mom too.
