Hi,I'm new here.I'm 17 and recently graduated from high school.Ever since I left school I hardly eat or have an appetite to eat.Don't get me wrong I do eat but when I do it's a little bit because I can't eat anything more.I can eat even just a banana all day and don't have the appetite nor feel hungry for anything for the rest of the day. I go days without eating too.Do you guys know what might be up?

@reservedbutterfly Hi, welcome! We're not allowed to give medical advice here, but definitely see a health professional if you can, that does sound like something that you should address. That being said, I think it could help to give yourself reminders to eat (whether that's by setting an alarm, writing a note, etc) because it's definitely important to nourish your body and stay healthy, even if you don't feel as many hunger cues. You could also consider meal planning in advance with food you feel like you might be willing to eat, or, if there's nothing you want to eat, think about what is making you feel that way, and then think about what might help! For instance, if you don't want to eat because you never feel hungry, then maybe it could help to eat something that looks a little more aesthetically pleasing (cute pastries, fruit, a nice sandwich) so that you can enjoy the process a little more. Or maybe eating seems like a lot of effort, so drinking a nice smoothie would be better. Or maybe eating out with friends or family a little more often will help you feel motivated to eat something. Good luck, you got this <3

@reservedbutterfly In the past it has helped me to eat at the same time(s) every day. I would set an alarm let's say twice a day, and then I would have planned the day before what I would eat, so I didn't have to come up with something or make it complicated for myself :)
