Can't eat
Long story short: My dog is physically fit and healthy, and still he won't eat. We can't figure out what's wrong, and we have tried everything, so my vet says it must be mental. Something in his brain so to speak.
Problem is though: This is really triggering my ED. I can't eat as long as he won't eat. I don't know what to do, bc every time I see or smell food I feel sick to my stomach and feel like I'm going to throw up. Which foods can be easier to stomach, when you feel like that?
@TheMadHatterWasHere Maybe some toast or yogurt? He might even try those if he sees you having the same. My dogs loved toast with a little butter on it 😊 I've had a similar issue when the one dog got sick. Anxiety over her not eating made it so I couldn't eat either. I hope something works for you both
@mytwistedsoul The whole story ended with me having to give up the pup. We kept effecting each other, so he had to get a new home. He was going to be my servicedog, but as he is too sensitive, he is now a normal dog, and I will be getting a new dog more qualified.
Thank you for your comment though! Helped a lot. I have begun eating a little again, as I know he is eating now that he is at his new home.
@TheMadHatterWasHere I'm so glad you're eating alittle again. I'm sorry you had to give him up but I think it's really great that that you saw it wasn't going to work with him and you got him a home where he can just be a dog. It's so awesome that you're going to be getting a service dog that's better suited for what you need :)
