Struggling
Over the past 8 months I’ve been struggling with food on and off. There was a period of time April - May where I would eat a very small breakfast, throw away my lunch at school, and have a tiny dinner. I am very active as I do competitive dance Monday - Saturday and I’m not sure who’s many calories I should be eating or if im eating enough. On a normal day I’ll eat about 1000 but lately I’ve been struggling worse than I normally do and I’m eating around 600. I’m 13 years old and I’m aware that im already underweight but whenever I look in the mirror I think I look fat and I’m starting to eat less again. I also got a calorie counting app. I’m not sure what I expecting people to say to this but I just needed to share

HI there. Thank you for sharing.
I'm sorry to read you are struggling and have worries around food. I'm glad you came looking for help. The main thing is that you don't need to deal with this on your own. Hopefully you find support in this forum or elsewhere on 7 cups.
I also suggest finding support in real life. I know it can be real hard to talk to adults, but can you think of anyone you can ask? Teachers at school in particular should know how to help you find answers to your questions. Remember that most become teachers because they want to help children, and so most would want to help you with this.
As another option to not feel alone with this, i found Ro Mitchell on YouTube really inspired me to keep trying and fighting my battles.
Food gives us life. Love yourself enough to nourish that body and give yourself a long and busy life. Because you deserve that.
Love and best wishes
