TRIGGER WARNING

(ANOREXIA)

I used to love holidays, but now I am forced to eat food without labels (because I'm in an all inclusive hotel). I don't eat much, but even so I am scared that it is too much. I can barely eat anything and feel convinced that I 'binged'. I even check like a 100 times if my cola is really zero.

I just want some peace :(

@floorm

I heard you, its really on edge when we keeps having endless anxieties on our weight. *sending soft hug if its acceptable*

How have you been dealing with those anxieties?

What feels like the most challenging part (if your weight isn't ideal)?

Thank you!

Dealing with those thoughts can be really difficult... Usually I cry for a bit and then it slowly gets off of my mind.

I'm alredy underweight, but I just can't stop worrying about calories. It's like they took my whole life.

And realistically, I was never even 'fat'.

Earlier I ate an amazing dessert that I really wanted to try. I felt guilty, but it was so yummy... And I had a meltdown after. It feels silly that a small piece of cake causes me such distress 😭

@floorm

Floorm, i hear you, its like eating food is like a sin. And its totally understandable to feel so much emotions over “simply a piece of dessert”

First, a gentle note: everyone is beautiful in their own ways, no matter if they are underweight or overweight, no matter if they have long or short hair or anything about our appearance. Its like red and blue aren't the same, we can't compare them, they all have their own beauty.

So do you.

Secondly, maybe we could tell ourselves “This bite is not a mistake. It’s fuel for my body to keep going, to heal, to live.” when those thoughts about eating is a crime?

Take one tiny step at a time.

And lastly, feel free to message me or reach out to another listener, or @ me anytime you needs and I'll be here.
