the battle of recovery
i wouldn’t consider myself to have had an eating disorder but realistically know i did… mine was stress induced.
i’ve since met my boyfriend. i love him dearly, and he’s made me a much better version of myself. my issue comes with the fact that being with him and him making me healthy has caused me to gain a significant amount of weight.. im really struggling accepting it. i want to be healthy, but ive very much gone the opposite way, from underweight to overweight. i’m so focused on my weight and my body and im terrified ill relapse into an “actual” ED instead of a stress induced one..
how can i stop myself from spiralling?

I'm sorry you've been through so much.
I'm glad you've got the support of a good and kind boyfriend.
It's good you are healthy and feeling it.
But you need to do it for you.
So you can feel happy, and safe and comfortable in your own skin and not fixate on weight alone.
It's about how you feel yourself 💖

I think at some point you ll be so over this that you will just seek happiness. And also feeling normal around food and feeling good in your own body without doing tons of efforts to stay at a lower weight. Honestly not easy but finding a balance (I mean a real one because I know what it is to convince yourself that you can eat normally now but in reality you are controlling everything) way of eating.
Stay strong soldier, we are all in the same boat. Life throws at us some deep challenges but they make us stronger 💪
With love and compassion,
❤️🩹
