Dealing with death of close friend
HELP!! How do i deal with greif
tuesday night my best friend of many years dies of a fentanyl overdose. I dont know how to handle this. Me being a recovering addict aswell, I want to go out and use. I dont know how to handle grief or deal with the emotions im feelings. Its overwhelming and too much to handle . I do not know how to handle my emotions because ive been suppressing them with drugs for 8 years
Any advice?
@SquidJones Hi. Your emotions are are healthy, drugs are not. Your emotions won’t harm you, drugs will. It is possible to find great depth in your grief. Loss hurts, it is not pleasant, but your love for your friend, your feeling loss is a deep part of your humanity. It means that stuff is important to you. Be proud of this. You will come out of this ok. Hang in there!
