Deep Thoughts: Loneliness Crisis
What are your thoughts on the loneliness epidemic? Some factors may include social media making us less social, the COVID pandemic and lockdown, past trauma, not having transportation, fear of judgment, addiction to contacting people via text and not in person, etc.
Thoughts?
@jesusredeemedme2425 I believe all of what you just said plays a big part in the growing loneliness people are facing. And yet I wonder, how there are billions of people in this world, yet we let so many to lonely😥 it's very sad. Luckily we have 7 cups, where we can make friends, help each other, and hopefully feel less alone ❤❤❤

We look at phones instead of each other. :(
@jesusredeemedme2425 😥 it's very sad 😢. Their called 'cell' phones for a reason, they imprison you
Wow that was casually very deep! What do you do to not feel lonely?
@jesusredeemedme2425
Hello! I agree with you about people having their faces in their phones all the time and communicating by social media mostly. Also, there is the busyness factor, where people don't have time because of work, children. Being burnt out also from not having close relationships can make you not want to socialize if you can find anyone. I live in a nice neighborhood and I rarely see or speak to them. Occasionally we pass and say Hello. I have coworkers that I would like to go out with, but I don't try anymore because they are too busy/not interested. I have joined some church groups to get support and friendship in person.
In-person friendship is the best. Im glad you were able to find a community :)
